Wilsons Promontory ("The Prom")​

Big Drift

​Escape the crowds and experience the wilderness of everlasting sand dunes. The inland dunes are exceptional for photography, day and night, and are home to an array of stunning wildlife. It's a perfect location for those Insta snaps #bigdrift! The entrance to Wilsons Promontory National Park, where Big Drift is located, is just 20 minutes from Tindoona Cottages.

Agnes Falls

The highest single-span waterfall in Victoria, Agnes Falls cascades down huge steps of rock and plunges into a deep ravine. There is a viewing area to enjoy the falls, just 25 minutes from Tindoona Cottages.

Great Southern Rail Trail

Bring your bike! This fantastic 72km trail can be accessed just 3km up the road. Their website can help you plan your adventure!

• Foster Golf Club (in town, about 5km away): A friendly club with a bar and bistro
• Waratah Bay: Stunning beach as far as the eye can see.
• Sandy Point: A small township with both a surf beach and Shallow Inlet, which is great for water sports.
• Port Franklin: A sleepy little fishing village.
• Meeniyan: A small town with good restaurants and interesting shops and cafes.
•  Fish Creek: A town known for its art and craft outlets and its iconic Fish Creek Hotel, with a giant fish sculpture by Colin Sugget mounted on the roof!
• Port Albert (around 45 minutes driving): A lovely town with an idyllic port, a good pub, a lovely seafront restaurant, fish & chips, and a cute cafe and wine bar.
• Corner Inlet Vineyard: The new home of Mornington Peninsula based Allies Wines. They are a family-owned business specialising in cool-climate, handcrafted Pinot Noir. Just 1km away from our cottages!
•  Gurneys Cider: Delicious!
• Toora: A small historic town. Take time for refreshments at the cafes or hotel.
• Shallow Inlet: Marine inlet for Waratah Bay, with boating, fishing & wetland habitat for rare shorebirds.
